Priorities for District 4
Economic Development
Together, we will bring more working class and living wage jobs, support small businesses, create equitable growth that focuses on empowering our youth and employing District 4 residents, and streamline permitting, while attracting sustainable community investments.
Public Safety
From reducing gun violence to improving response times, we still have work to do for the safety of our community. We can meet these basic and reasonable needs by pursuing creative solutions to generate more revenue while pursuing cost savings to fully fund our current Police and Fire Departments staffing needs, and fully funding the pension obligations.
Quality of Life
Happiness and opportunity matter. We must continue to work toward a District 4 where clean, safe, and accessible parks are within walking distance for all residents, that Premier, well-built, and affordable housing is a reality regardless of zip code or income level, and that our residents do not have to leave the district boundaries to enjoy a show or have their choice of nice places to sit down for a meal.
Our Seniors
Our older residents are the backbone of our community and the most dependent upon basic and specialized city services. Having an accessible and responsive representative at City Hall will ensure from my office to city departments, the needs of District 4 are being met. If we make sure our city services work for our seniors, it will truly work for our entire community.
